Hello!
I’m Amanda. I can help your business shine online by creating, revamping and maintaining your WordPress website so you can get back to doing what you do best.
As a small business owner, you already have lots on your plate – I know, I’m a small business owner, too. Why add to that? Why take time out to create your own website or learn all the technology behind websites? Why not spend time doing what you love to do, and let me take care of your website?
WordPress websites are my passion. I am happiest where colour, words and code collide. I love the ever-changing world of technology and learning new tools, toys and techniques.
I haven’t always been a WordPress developer. For many years I was a Software Developer customizing and creating add-ons for a well-known ERP (enterprise resource planning) package. But the entrepreneur in me struggled. I wanted to choose who I worked with, what I could do to help, what tools I used and where I worked.
I tried several online businesses – a blog about working from home (which I’ve done since 1997…) then a website about creating your own WordPress websites. But I was happiest creating websites. Specifically WordPress websites. Maybe that’s why I tried several businesses – I loved creating websites for them!
Then I began to notice that, in all the online business courses I took, my favourite section was about websites. What to include, what colours to use, how to say things, how to design them. I loved it all! I took in every detail and experimented with new ideas.
It finally occurred to me one day (I’m a little slow sometimes…) that I could build a business doing what I loved – creating WordPress websites. And Pink Toad Studio was born. Want to know how the name came about? Email me at amanda@pinktoadstudio.com and I’d be happy to share the story!
So, here I am, creating, revamping and looking after WordPress websites for my clients. And loving it. I don’t “go to work”, I “go play”. I hope you feel the same way about your business.

I've been building WordPress websites since 2017. Before that I hand-coded sites in PHP, CSS and HTML. Now I combine the two skills to create custom websites for small businesses just like yours.

My Web Design Packages are designed to get you up and running online in record time. I know how long it takes me to create a website for each of those packages so I can be pretty darned accurate with my scheduling. As long as I get what I need from you on time, I'll stick to my side of the schedule.
What you'll get is clearly set out in the quote I'll ask you to sign before I get started on your website.
I don't like surprises, I don't imagine you do either.
To budget for your website without worry
Before I start work on your website, I'll provide a quote and a plan. As long as we stick to the plan, the quote won't change.
If you want to add something to the project, I'll let you know right away what the impact will be on your budget.
To control your own website
I know you don't want to pay for each and every little change you want to make to your website. And you shouldn't have to.
WordPress websites are not rocket science. Once the website is launched, you can easily manage small changes on your own.
